![]() One thing to keep in mind is that the JSON file is not encrypted, so if you have any sensitive information in the board you’ve exported, you’ll want to either encrypt the file with a third-party tool or save it to a USB drive and lock it up in a safe. Save that file in a memorable and safe location. You can either accept the random name or give it a more meaningful one. ![]() Trello will give the file a random name and the file extension. To fix this, right-click anywhere in the window and select Save As. What you’ll then see is nothing more than a lengthy page of unformatted JSON. Instead, the JSON will simply appear in the browser window, replacing your Trello board. For whatever reason, Trello doesn’t offer a Save As dialog.
